What
is an Anti Wrinkle Injection?
Our
product is a natural purified protein that relaxes wrinkle causing
muscles,
creating an improved appearance.
How
does this work?
Many
facial wrinkles occur when we use our muscles to make repeated facial
expressions. This is used to relax specific facial muscles that cause
expression lines. Once the muscles are relaxed, you cannot contract them
and
continue to make the undesirable facial expressions. Thus the lines
gradually
smooth and new lines are prevented from forming.
What
does this treatment involve?
It
is a non-surgical treatment whereby a small amount of product is
injected into
selected facial muscles by your doctor using a very fine needle.
Generally, the
treatment for glabellar frown lines takes around 10 minutes. Discomfort
is
typically minimal and brief, and no anaesthetic is usually required. The
injection may sting for a few seconds but normal activities can be
resumed soon
after. After the injection, it takes 2-3 days for the product to
begin
taking effect and about 7 days to see the full effect. The dose
recommended for
the treatment of frown lines will vary depending on your individual
situation
and the severity of your frown lines. Your doctor will know what the
best dose
is for you and which muscles to inject to give you the best results.
How
long does it last?
The
effect can last up to 4 months before lines slowly begin to return. If
you have
repeat treatments, the effect tends to last longer.
Does
this treatment cause more wrinkles to form?
This
treatment relaxes the facial muscles that cause expression lines. It
does not
cause more wrinkles to form. If you choose not to have
further treatments
your muscles will eventually return to normal activity and your wrinkles
will
gradually revert to their pre- treatment levels.
Will
facial expression be affected by this treatment?
This
treatment works specifically on the muscles treated. This means
that any
muscle left untreated, including untreated facial muscles, should not be
affected. Your doctor will determine the best dose for you and which
muscles to
inject to give you the best results.
Are
there any side affects?
In
addition to its use for cosmetic reasons, this product is also used
to
treat patients of most age groups in a variety of therapeutic
indications
including cerebral palsy in children, movement disorder (head, neck,
shoulder,
face) and axillary hyperhidrosis ( excessive under arm sweating). In the
amounts used for the treatment of frown lines, the side effects are
usually
temporary and localized to the area of injection. Possible side effects
include
headaches, pain, burning, bruising or redness at the injection site,
local
muscle weakness including drooping eyelids, lack of feeling, skin
tightness and
nausea.
Can
this treatment be combined with other products and procedures?
Many

What is Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is the system of pushing specially refined crystals at high velocity onto the surface of the skin to exfoliate dead skin cells and promote the generation of new skin cells, thereby creating a skin surface which is youthful and glowing. The vacuum suction nozzle performing a dual role: to suction the skin and promote lymphatic drainage and to remove excess crystals and abraded skin cells.

How
will you feel after treatment?
Microdermabrasion is normally carried out without any anaesthetic. Some
of our
patients have reported finding it pleasant in the knowledge that it is

has a
red healthy glow due to the increased circulation. This usually settles
down to
a normal healthy look within a day or so.
Because such a fine layer of skin is removed there is no bleeding.
When
will you see results? What do you need to do after the treatment to

The full result will not be evident until the fresh new skin growth
stimulated
by the treatment covers the area. The usual recovery time for a
completely
normal skin appearance is around 24 hours.
How
many sessions are necessary?

Electrolysis is a method of permanent hair removal which involves inserting a small electrified needle into the hair follicle to destroy growth tissue. Electrolysis can be used on many parts of the body and is one among several epilation techniques suitable for people seeking permanent hair removal. Diathermy skin treatment is the use of high frequency electric current to produce heat. This is a quick process where we insert a fine needle into the capillary, which will produce a current. This current will then drain away the blood that causes the broken capillaries to appear. Some skins will develop very tiny scabs after the diathermy skin treatment. This is to enable the skin to heal and you must follow after-care instructions as advised by your therapist to ensure correct skin healing. Diathermy is an individualised treatment, therefore it is hard to say how many you will need. Your therapist will be able to give you more of an idea once your skin is assessed.

Tattoo Regret?? Don’t let your tattoo’s define you.
Decorative tattoos have a history dating back at least 5000 years. The desire to remove them has probably existed for just as long. Early attempts to remove tattoos have had less than desirable results. The use of dermabrasion, saltabrasion, and Argon or CO2 lasers have left behind scars in place of the tattoo. The advent of Q-Switched lasers has permitted the removal of most tattoo inks with very low risk of scarring. The MediLite Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser is the laser of choice in this class of laser. The MediLite can significantly lighten or remove a wide variety of tattoo inks.
What type of tattoos can be treated?
Most tattoos can be treated. Both amateur and professional tattoos are treatable, however, professional tattoos require more treatments to achieve similar results. All colours can be treated, however, some may be difficult and require more treatments and have a lower chance of complete removal. White and skin coloured tattoos tend to be difficult to remove. Tattoos can be removed from all skin types, but the darker the skin, the less contrast there is between the colour of the skin and the tattoo, which makes it more difficult to remove without affecting the normal skin.
How many treatments will I need?
On the average, professional tattoos require 6-8 treatments, while amateur tattoos require 4-5 treatments, all spaced approximately 6-8 weeks apart. The number of treatments depends on the amount and type of ink used, and the depth of the ink in the skin.
Does the laser remove coloured tattoos?
Dark (blue, black) and red inks will resolve the best. Oranges and purples usually fade as well. Green and yellow inks are the most difficult to remove, and additional treatments are needed to produce significant fading.
Will the tattoo be completely gone?
100% removal of the tattoo pigment is not always possible, but in most cases is achievable. Amateur tattoos require fewer treatments for resolution than professional tattoos. It is important to know that there are many, many types of tattoo inks in use worldwide today, none of which are regulated by the FDA. Not knowing which tattoo ink was used, or how deeply it was applied, makes it impossible for us to predict the degree or removal on any given tattoo.
Patience is required, as sometimes significant fading does not occur until several sessions have been undertaken
What type of post-treatment care is necessary?
An antibacterial ointment and a dressing will be applied to the area immediately after treatment. Occasionally there will be pinpoint bleeding associated with the treatment. The treated area should be kept clean. Following instructions is very important for the days following the procedure. A shower can be taken the next day, although the treatment area should never be scrubbed. If a scab forms it is vital that you do not pick it or scratch it.
